The US says a Patriot missile battery and F-16 fighters to be sent to Jordan for military exercises could be kept there because of the threat from Syria.

وَأَنَّ هَٰذَا صِرَاطِي مُسْتَقِيمًا فَاتَّبِعُوهُ ۖ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا السُّبُلَ فَتَفَرَّقَ بِكُمْ عَنْ سَبِيلِهِ
