Qatar confirms it is handing over the Syrian embassy in its capital to the opposition, as a former Syrian spokesman tells the BBC why he abandoned the regime.

وَأَنَّ هَٰذَا صِرَاطِي مُسْتَقِيمًا فَاتَّبِعُوهُ ۖ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا السُّبُلَ فَتَفَرَّقَ بِكُمْ عَنْ سَبِيلِهِ
