Iraqi artist Ali al-Memmar has earned phenomenal fame for his lifelike paintings on horses. Al-Memmar was born in Baghdad in 1965. He graduated from the Painting Department at the Fine Art Faculty in Baghdad in 1985 as well as the Painting Department at the Fine Art academy in Baghdad in 1991.
